ION is a minimalist desk lamp designed with simplicity and precision in mind.
Crafted to complement modern workspaces, it pairs naturally with aluminum devices such as the MacBook while providing focused lighting for everyday tasks.
Material Expression
ION is crafted from aluminum, making it lightweight, durable, and refined.
A blue cable acts as the signature accent, referencing the scientific representation of ions while adding a subtle visual highlight to the otherwise neutral form.
Adjustable Structure
ION features two adjustable joints that allow the lamp to rotate and tilt for precise positioning.
This flexibility makes it suitable for a variety of work scenarios, allowing the light to be directed exactly where it is needed.
Adaptive Lighting
The lamp allows users to adjust color temperature from warm to cool light.
Warm light is ideal for relaxed or late-night work, while cooler light provides accurate color rendering for designers, architects, and detailed tasks.
Prototype Development
This project was developed as a 1:1 functional prototype.
The lamp was produced using 3D printing and individual component assembly, including cable integration and electronic components, resulting in a fully operational lighting device.
