Rayo Palm Cooling
Rayo is a temperature-regulating system designed for high-performance athletes, allowing them to push the limits of human performance while safeguarding against overheating and its detrimental effects.
The Problem
When exercising, the body generates significant heat as muscles work to produce energy. If this heat is not effectively dissipated, the body’s core temperature rises, leading to a series of physiological responses that can negatively impact performance and health.
Timed Cooling
Cooling duration is limited to 1–3 minutes to avoid excessive vasoconstriction, which typically begins after 5–10 minutes of sustained exposure. The system maintains a regulated temperature range to optimize heat extraction without inducing thermal stress.
Internal Architecture
A rechargeable battery powers a thermoelectric (Peltier) module that delivers active surface cooling.
Temperature is electronically regulated to ensure safe, controlled performance. A heat sink manages thermal dissipation, and the aluminum housing optimizes heat transfer for efficient cooling.
Ergonomics
The device is proportioned to fit naturally within the palm, ensuring stable and comfortable grip during use. Its single-hand operation allows users to maintain mobility and continue other activities, such as hydration or training, without interruption.
